Rihanna is also the creator of Fenty Beauty. The Fenty Beauty cosmetics brand has been breaking records since its celebrated release in 2017. Fenty Beauty took home huge honors at the 2018 Vogue Beauty Awards winning in the Services of Diversity category for their incredibly wide range of foundation shades. The brand also won in Beauty Game-Changer Of The Year category for its most recognizable product: Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear FoundationKillawatt Freestyle Highlighter took home the Skin Enhancer Of The Year category. Fenty Beauty also lauds 3 Beauty Innovator awards from Refinery 29 and one of the 25 Best Inventions of 2017 from Time Magazine.

Also in 2018, Rihanna was appointed “Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary” to her home country of Barbados. What a great honor bestowed on this Caribbean Queen.

Now, stay with me here, I know all of the above events occurred in 2017 and 2018 and if this is the year of Rihanna she would have had to either top what she accomplished before 2019 or achieved something else extraordinary in 2019.

She did both.

Savage X Fenty, Rihanna’s lingerie line launched in 2019 to great acclaim for her diversity in the body types, sizes, shapes and skin tones of her models and for the range of styles and fits to choose from. She shocked the fashion world when a heavily pregnant model walked in her lingerie show in labor!

Also in 2019, Rihanna and luxury conglomerate LVMH (LVMH MoĂ«t Hennessy – Louis Vuitton SE a French multinational luxury goods conglomerate headquartered in Paris) partnered to launch Fenty Maison, a ready-to-wear, shoes, and accessories label that was released this spring. In the press release for Fenty Maison, Rihanna said, “Designing a line like this with LVMH is an incredibly special moment for us. [LVMH CEO Bernard] Arnault has given me a unique opportunity to develop a fashion house in the luxury sector, with no artistic limits. I couldn’t imagine a better partner both creatively and business-wise, and I’m ready for the world to see what we have built together.”

What makes this partnership historic is the fact that in addition to Fenty Maison being LVMH’s first new brand since Christian Lacroix’s ready-to-wear brand in 1987 is that Rihanna will the first woman of color to lead a luxury fashion house.

Rihanna was named the richest female musician of 2019 by Forbes magazine. The singer’, activist, philanthropist, fashion designer and beauty brand creator is estimated at $600m (ÂŁ472m), made from her entire music and business empire!

Since Rihanna seems to accomplish more and more every year, I cannot imagine what she does in 2020!
